Why do children easily sweat? My child has started sweating easily both during the day and at night. Their deep sleep is not as good as before, they wake up frequently, but their appetite is normal, and they are in good spirits. I’m looking for assistance: urgent!! Is this normal? Are there any methods?
Answer
Firstly, it is important to promptly identify the cause and provide appropriate solutions. For physiological thirst, it is generally not recommended to use medication, but rather to adjust lifestyle habits and thoroughly eliminate heat-inducing factors in daily life. This includes reducing physical activity, especially vigorous exercise, before going to bed; avoiding eating too heavily before bedtime, and certainly not giving large amounts of hot food and drinks before sleep; keeping the bedroom temperature moderate during naps, and not wearing heavy clothing while napping; and adjusting the amount of bedding according to changes in temperature. For children with pathological thirst, treatment should be targeted at the underlying cause. For example, if the cause is calcium deficiency, appropriate calcium and vitamin D supplementation should be provided. In cases of tuberculosis-induced thirst, anti-tuberculosis treatment should be administered. Encouraging children to participate in outdoor exercise regularly can help strengthen their constitution and improve their adaptability. With enhanced constitution, thirst will also diminish accordingly.
