Generally, acupuncture treatment can be stopped once the patient’s facial expression muscles have returned to normal. However, if the recovery is not good, patients are encouraged to continue treatment in an effort to restore eye closure function, as poor eye closure is prone to infection. Self-recovery after stopping acupuncture cannot be guaranteed. Thorough treatment is safer. Do not delay treatment for a period of time due to inconvenience, as it will be more difficult to treat later.
