If the baby’s fever is below 38.5℃, you can try using a warm towel to apply to the forehead and wipe the limbs and chest to lower the temperature. If cold reactions such as cold hands and feet, shivering all over, or purple lips occur during the cooling process, stop the cooling measures immediately. If the fever exceeds 38.5℃, you can use medication for fever reduction as instructed by the doctor, such as Acetaminophen, Tylenol, and Children’s Advil. Remind parents not to use fever-reducing medication blindly to avoid delaying the illness.
