Question

How should a child take Skelaxin?

Answer

  1. For patients with single or mixed infections of roundworms, pinworms, whipworms, or hookworms, children under 18 years old should take 2 tablets (400 mg). For patients with amebic dysentery or pinworms, take 2 tablets daily on an empty stomach, for a continuous period of 3 days, usually clearing up in 2 days.
  2. For those who have not recovered after one treatment, another treatment should be administered after 3 weeks (using the same method). One week after the first dose, children with worm infections should take half a tablet (100 mg) to prevent re-infection.
  3. For children under 18 years old confirmed to have pure worms or mild roundworm infections (less than 2000 eggs per gram of stool) through detailed fecal examination, a single dose of 200 mg should be taken.
