Question
There has been yellow water in a two-and-a-half-month-old’s stool. Besides the thick stool, which occurs about ten times a day and the baby is very energetic, the urine is also normal. Is it nausea and vomiting? Isn’t normal stool supposed to be yellow, soft cream-like? This has been the case for a month and a half.
Answer
The stool of a two-and-a-half-month-old appears yellow or golden yellow, uniform and soft like cream, odorless, and with increased frequency, generally 2 to 4 times a day. This is physiological diarrhea, and parents need not worry.
