Question

My baby turned one recently, and I’ve noticed that he occasionally nods, sometimes even blinking along with it. However, his overall condition seems fine, and he doesn’t nod when there are people around; he only does so when playing by himself, about 1-3 times. I’m not sure if this is normal behavior or if there might be a problem?

Answer

Nodding at around one year of age in a child can be a normal behavior, but it could also be due to a lack of calcium and vitamin D. If these nutrients are not adequately consumed, further examination and treatment may be necessary. It is recommended to take the child to the hospital for a detailed check-up to determine the cause and receive appropriate treatment advice.
