Question
Why does diarrhea cause fever?
Answer
Diarrhea accompanied by fever may be a symptom of an internal infection or other causes. How about the past treatment and its effectiveness? Have you used ibuprofen to reduce fever? Why hasn’t the fever subsided? Should you take antibiotics if diarrhea recurs? It is recommended to consume rice porridge to alleviate vomiting symptoms. Boil brown rice in water, then strain out the rice residue, and drink three bowls a day. During vomiting, you should eat light liquid foods such as clear soup or other transparent liquids. This is because the gastrointestinal tract needs to rest sufficiently during vomiting. Once it is confirmed that the clear soup is safe, you can gradually add easily digestible foods such as rice, yogurt (containing probiotics), and lettuce to your daily diet when symptoms stabilize.
