My child is over three years old and has had a slight cough for the past few days, but there are no coughing symptoms at night. It seems more severe today. Previous treatment and results: I gave him 999 Children’s Cough Syrup (used for treating cough caused by fever) and Amoxicillin Granules today, but he doesn’t have a fever. What kind of help do I need: Are the medications I’m using okay?
Answer
This kind of symptom might be bronchitis, which is one of the main common diseases in infancy. It can occur throughout the year, especially during winter and spring or when there are changes in weather. The disease comes on suddenly and may include symptoms such as irregular high fever, coughing. Initially, there may be a slight cough, followed by phlegm, an increased respiratory rate, wheezing. There may also be a loss of appetite, nausea, and even obvious choking and poisoning symptoms. In severe cases, it may lead to respiratory failure and heart failure.
