Question

I’m 16 years old and want to attend a vocational school in health care but I’m not sure which major to choose. I really want to study midwifery, but aren’t the risks involved very high? I’m only about 1.5 meters tall, and I’ve heard that you can’t become a nurse unless you’re at least 1.6 meters tall.

Answer

Any medical profession carries its own risks, and most general-grade three hospitals now have height requirements. It’s advisable to carefully consider your future, as nursing training is very demanding, requiring careful attention, patience, and a spirit of hard work and perseverance.
