Question

My baby is four months old and has been having diarrhea for the past few days. Initially, it was yellow water and milk rennet, but recently it has turned green. The baby doesn’t like breast milk and doesn’t seem to enjoy formula milk either. Do I need to take him to see a doctor? We haven’t received any treatment before, and now I want to know how I can help my baby.

Answer

The baby may currently be experiencing absorption issues caused by abdominal cold or consumption of cold foods. Parents are advised to give the baby Four Grains Soup, use a belly button patch, or consider symptomatic anti-inflammatory medication. If the diarrhea continues for a longer period, hospitalization for intravenous treatment may be necessary to alleviate dehydration issues. I hope these suggestions are helpful to you. Wishing you and your baby good health!
