Question

My 1 year and 4 month old baby started having diarrhea last night. They took attapulgite yesterday evening, and they vomited twice during the night. Today they seemed to want to eat, but by evening they were restless, not wanting to move much, and only wanting to nap. What should I do?

Answer

It is recommended to let the baby rest more and drink plenty of water, and monitor the temperature. Eat less supplementary food and snacks. If necessary, go back to the hospital for a follow-up. Since the child is over a year old and has vomited again, and there have been dry heaves, and they were in good spirits during the day but became restless again in the evening with poor spirits and a lack of appetite, it is suggested to take the child to the hospital for an examination. It may be that vomiting has led to electrolyte imbalance.
