Question
Why does my child keep sneezing blood? They haven’t been picking their nose or touching it with their hands, but it has happened three times this week. What’s going on?
Answer
During the cold and dry autumn and winter seasons, the nasal passages are prone to drying out and becoming inflamed, which can cause the nasal mucosa to erode and peel. Even if the child hasn’t been picking their nose, it can still happen. If the nosebleed is not severe and stops on its own, you can use Nasal Relief Oral Liquid or Bai Rui Granules for treatment, along with using Compound Menthol Nasal Drops. Also, encourage your child to drink plenty of warm water, eat more vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins, and caution them not to blow their nose too hard to prevent colds.
