Occasional bedwetting in a 10-year-old is medically referred to as physiological enuresis, which is a normal phenomenon. Most children stop wetting the bed at night after the age of five. It is recommended to undergo a detailed examination first to confirm if there are any hidden issues such as spina bifida. Additionally, be mindful not to overexert the child during the day to prevent them from sleeping too deeply at night and not waking up when they need to urinate. Also, avoid excessive fluid intake before bedtime to reduce nighttime urine output. It is suggested to set an alarm clock to wake up and urinate at regular intervals.
