Question

I had my detailed big anomaly examination last time at 22 weeks, but the ultrasound report says the baby is one week smaller, at 21 weeks. However, I’m not sure whether the subsequent gestational weeks should be calculated according to the ultrasound report or my previous gestational weeks (which have all been normal). I would appreciate it if any doctors could advise me.

Answer

According to your description, the time difference of one week between our detailed ultrasound examination and the actual gestational age is normal. The subsequent gestational weeks should still be estimated based on the date of your last menstrual period. I suggest you enhance your nutrition, engage in more outdoor activities, avoid sexual activity, and make regular prenatal check-ups at the hospital. Always keep your bowels regular, pay attention to staying warm, and prevent colds.
