Question
The pediatrician said no surgery was needed when the child was checked for hidden hair sinus. Now, at 11 years old, the child often has stomach pain and goes to the bathroom only 5 to 6 times a day. Could this be related to the hidden hair sinus?
Answer
Dear inquirer, a hidden hair sinus, also known as a hair cyst, is a chronic sinus or cyst that grows in the soft tissue of the gluteal cleft at the tailbone area, containing hair. It is not related to baby constipation and it is recommended to adjust the baby’s diet by eating more fruits and vegetables.
