Question

After each feeding and burping, my baby constantly twirls while taking a nap and emits painful sounds. Sometimes, she throws up, and occasionally, it comes out of her nose. What should I do?

Answer

The baby’s condition is first considered to be caused by gastrointestinal discomfort, possibly symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux. It is recommended to hold the baby vertically after feeding and burping, then place them down with the upper body elevated as much as possible. This may help alleviate most of the vomiting and regurgitation.
