Question

What should I do when my two-and-a-half-year-old boy gets a fever after not sleeping? My son is a two-and-a-half-year-old boy. He got scared for a moment because he didn’t take a nap, and now he doesn’t sleep comfortably during his afternoon nap. He keeps having nightmares and crying out, saying ‘I don’t want to,’ and falling over. He’s had a high fever for four or five days, doesn’t want to eat, is shy, and I’m regretting it so much. I don’t know what to do. Will he have lasting shadows? What should I do?

Answer

Children are easily frightened due to their undeveloped nervous systems. Parents and acquaintances alike should not use threats instead of teaching and companionship. Learn from this experience, give the child companionship and care, and start positive education and management after the age of three. The shadows from this incident will fade away.
