Question
Last week, my baby accidentally damaged a tooth, with a crack appearing in the front milk tooth. Now, flesh has grown in the crack. Is it really nothing to worry about, and can it smoothly transition to a permanent tooth in the future?
Answer
From the photos, it appears that the baby’s tooth has developed a split, and there is already a polyp growing. Although new teeth will eventually replace it, the cracked tooth may affect eating and may need to be removed. This is a suggestion for the question ‘Should you worry about your child’s cracked tooth growing flesh?’ I hope this helps, and wish you health!
