Question

My child has a small wound under their neck that looks like a scratch and it’s been bleeding for much longer than it should. After applying cotton, the bleeding has slowed down, but the wound doesn’t seem to be healing. What’s going on?

Answer

Based on your description, it appears to be a small skin hemangioma. If there are no symptoms, it can usually be left alone. If pain or discomfort occurs, it can be directly removed through laser surgery. Avoid stimulating it as stimulation may cause the tumor to grow larger. This is the suggestion for the question “What’s causing the child’s neck wound bleeding?” I hope this helps and wish you and your child good health!
