If there is excessive earwax blocking the ear canal, it can affect hearing, preventing sound from passing through. If there is less earwax, it does not affect hearing. Pay attention to the reasons for the decline in hearing and consider visiting an otolaryngology clinic for a follow-up examination. If necessary, further tests such as acoustic reflex and sensory evoked potential may be conducted to understand the extent and nature of the hearing loss.
