Question

Another pimple has grown in the same eye, at a different location. The girl, who is almost four years old, had a microsurgical eye operation on November 19th and the swelling has not completely subsided yet. She recently had a cold, and on December 1st, she found another pimple in her eye. The doctor prescribed this kind of eye drops, can I use them? (Chrysanthemum, Dandelion, Uncaria rhynchophylla, Hedyotis diffusa) Can I use them for cold compresses?

Answer

Based on the description, this method can be used. It might be a chalazion or blepharitis, caused by a bacterial infection. Apply cold compresses for the first two days, followed by hot compresses two days later. Do this three times a day, each for ten minutes. Use levofloxacin eye drops or tobramycin eye drops to drop into the eyes, and apply one time a day of red mold ointment before bedtime. Take cefalosporin antibiotics or roxithromycin orally; in severe cases, surgical treatment may be required. Reduce the intake of spicy food and drink more water.
