Yesterday at noon, my baby picked up a large pearl about the size of an adult thumb. I’m not sure if the child has swallowed it, as they keep saying they have and then they say they haven’t. In this situation, what should we do? We haven’t checked yet. Should we go to the hospital for a check-up because we are unsure if the child really swallowed the pearl? How can we know if they have swallowed it down?
