Question

My baby has severe diarrhea, do I need to give them an injection? The baby has been experiencing frequent diarrhea, which improved after taking medication. Now, the diarrhea mainly occurs in the afternoon, and it’s been going on for several days. The baby has received anti-inflammatory injections and nutritional injections at the clinic, but it seems more severe than before. Could it be a medication issue or an injection issue?

Answer

When a baby has vomiting and diarrhea, it may lead to electrolyte imbalance, and oral rehydration salts (ORS) should be taken, in a 1:500 ratio without any restrictions on quantity. Additionally, you can give them Montmorillonite powder, mixed with water before meals and taken an hour before eating, along with Bifidobacterium Triple Live Yeast Powder. The diet should mainly consist of fluids. If necessary, intravenous therapy can be administered to prevent electrolyte imbalance and delay in the condition.
