Question

My baby is about to turn 11 months old, and currently shows little response to parents’ calls and interactions. They react better to singing or children’s songs on TV, eat normally, but seem to not pay much attention to parents’ calls and are not very willing to participate in interactions. Is this a normal developmental stage or could there be a developmental delay issue?

Answer

Based on your description, it appears that your baby’s cognitive and response abilities seem to lag behind their peers. It is recommended that you take your baby to a pediatrician for further examination to determine the specific cause of the lower cognitive and response abilities and take appropriate treatment measures. I hope these suggestions are helpful to you, and wish you and your baby good health.
