Question
My newborn baby has started to shake while sleeping during the afternoon nap at home after just five days of birth. It looks like it’s cold, with its hands and feet moving and its face turned to one side. However, it never does this when held. What could be the reason?
Answer
Is it because the room temperature is low? It’s recommended that the room temperature for babies should be above 20 degrees Celsius. You might consider turning on a heater or something to lower the temperature to between 20 and 22 degrees. Have you noticed if the baby keeps looking towards the mother? If so, you can frequently change the position of the mother to help the baby adjust to being with the mother.
