Question
The little baby sometimes feels a phlegm sound in the throat, sometimes not, and coughs no more than 10 times a day. Can they receive vaccinations?
Answer
It is not recommended to administer preventive vaccines when a child exhibits cough symptoms. If it is due to an upper respiratory infection, symptomatic treatment with children’s syrup can be provided. It is advisable to get vaccinated when the child’s condition is good. Before vaccination, the body temperature should be measured, and if there is a fever, the vaccination should be delayed. Vaccination should be temporarily suspended until full recovery, but it should be administered promptly after recovery; on the day of vaccination, avoid taking a bath and do not allow the child to overexert themselves.
