Question

Yesterday, when I got off the bus, my bag brushed against the bus door. I was holding the stroller at the time, and the baby fell out of it, landing on the face. When I picked him up, he didn’t cry or show any reaction. After I tapped him twice, he cried. After crying, he wanted to take a nap. I didn’t comfort him and just let him cry for a while. Will there be any big problems?

Answer

Pay close attention to the infant for any signs of nausea, dry heaving, or mental abnormalities. Compare with their normal sleep patterns—do they seem to sleep longer or have difficulty waking up? Observe the infant’s limb movements carefully; you can move the baby’s limbs to see how they respond. If there are no such symptoms, don’t worry too much. If you’re still not sure, it’s best to go to a regular hospital for a detailed head CT scan.
