The catheter needle is soft, so slight movement generally doesn’t cause any problems. If there’s no backflow of blood in the needle or no skin breakage around it, there’s no need to worry too much. However, there can be situations where the needle sticks to the wall, so you should check if the fluid flows smoothly during the infusion. If it flows smoothly, there’s no issue. If not, it may be necessary to remove and reinsert the needle. So, there’s no need to be overly anxious.
