Question

My baby is 8 months old and has dry stool. He hasn’t had a bowel movement for 34 days and has to use a lubricant to have a bowel movement each time. What should I do? Is the baby constipated due to heat? Or is it because I dressed him too warmly? Could my eating spicy food be related to his dry stool?

Answer

Baby constipation is mainly related to feeding methods and the mother’s diet, not the amount of clothing. The mother should avoid eating spicy and irritating food, drink more soup, eat more vegetables and fruits, which will improve the baby’s constipation.
