Question

Why is my child suddenly bedwetting?

Answer

When a child’s bladder is full, they may not be able to transmit the stimulus signal of bladder fullness to the cerebral cortex as a normal person would. This leads to the detrusor muscle contracting once the bladder reaches a certain level of fullness. If the child remains unaware, bedwetting may occur again. It is recommended to instill negative thoughts about bedwetting in the child and tell them to wake up immediately when they feel the urge to use the bathroom, and gradually correct this behavior.
