Question

After a child has a fever for 1 to 2 days, they develop oral ulcers and skin macules. Are these symptoms possibly hand, foot, and mouth disease?

Answer

Patients with hand, foot, and mouth disease may experience blisters in the mouth at the same time or 1 to 2 days after the onset of fever. These blisters break and form ulcers, accompanied by pain. One to two days later, rashes may appear on the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, and buttocks. The child may exhibit restlessness, crying, drooling, and a reluctance to eat due to discomfort.
