Question

I can’t sleep at night, feel physically unwell, and haven’t seen any improvement after taking medicine. I’m wondering why my baby makes um-um sounds while sleeping.

Answer

Babies often make um-um sounds in their first few months, which is usually a normal occurrence and there’s no need for excessive worry. It’s recommended not to immediately pick up or play with the baby when they wake up at night. Instead, gently pat them to soothe them back to sleep. If the baby is in a drowsy state, they usually fall back asleep slowly. Additionally, it’s suggested that you can take the baby for an elemental test.
