Question

How long does it take for a child to recover after circumcision?

Answer

After undergoing circumcision, the patient should undergo sitz bath treatment and be administered a large dose of antibiotics. It is recommended to wear loose, breathable underwear and keep the penis head upwards to reduce swelling. Regular follow-up appointments may be necessary if needed. For patients with urethral contusions but no urinary leakage, they can attempt to urinate on their own after urethral imaging. If urination is normal without any bleeding or pain, no further treatment is required. If bleeding persists, urinary catheterization may be needed for drainage.
