Question

Can a 7-month-old baby eat brown rice?

Answer

Introducing complementary foods for babies should be age-appropriate. Babies aged 4 to 6 months can start with thin porridge, egg yolks, and fruit purees, or add chopped vegetables and a little cooking oil to thin noodle soup. When babies reach 7 to 12 months old, they can gradually introduce soft noodles, steamed eggs, tofu, rice dumplings, various chopped vegetables, minced fish and lean meat, and so on. It is recommended to start with grains and gradually expand the range to vegetables and fruits, fish and poultry eggs, and dairy products. You can also choose some nutritionally formulated complementary food products specifically designed for infants.
