Question

Babies fed on formula milk often suffer from constipation and lack of spirit. How should one feed them correctly?

Answer

  1. Increase fluid intake by adding a milk partner to the formula or water, at least one packet per day.
  2. For babies breastfed by their mothers, the mother should adjust her diet by eating lightly and drinking plenty of water.
  3. Perform two abdominal clockwise massages for the baby daily, each lasting 5 to 10 minutes.
  4. If the baby has not had a bowel movement for several days, you can use a pediatric enema or soap swab, but it should not be used long-term.
  5. Encourage the baby to consume more fruits and vegetables.
