Can diabetes be inherited? I haven’t checked my father for diabetes yet, but I’m worried about inheritance. Can a 7-year-old child be tested for diabetes?

Children can undergo blood glucose testing. However, I believe there is no need for it at the moment. Even if there are genetic factors involved, they wouldn’t manifest so early. I suggest relaxing and not worrying too much.
