Question

How to treat children’s fever?

Answer

Generally, a child’s fever may be caused by a common cold, at which point it is important to drink plenty of water, rest as much as possible, and observe the progression of the illness. Typically, after 72 hours, the body temperature will naturally decrease, and symptoms will gradually improve. If the cause of the fever cannot be determined, avoid using fever-reducing medicine arbitrarily to prevent affecting the diagnosis. In some cases, fever may be caused by bronchitis, in which case antibiotic treatment, expectoration, antispasmodics, and cough suppression are required. Additionally, encourage appropriate physical exercise to strengthen constitution and immune function.
