Question

My child has been crying and fussy lately, and doesn’t eat much. Can I give my baby peaches and rice pudding together?

Answer

At 7 to 9 months old, babies can gradually transition from semi-solid foods to chewable soft solid foods (such as noodles porridge, broken vegetable porridge, etc.). By 1 to 12 months old, most babies can gradually switch to a diet mainly consisting of solid foods. It’s best to eat egg yolks, as consuming the egg white before one year old can easily cause an allergic reaction. Egg yolks are an excellent source of calcium and zinc, and should be eaten daily. In our family, we peel the egg white after boiling the egg, mix the cooked yolk with vegetable soup, and feed it in a paste form.
