Excessive sweating is known as hyperhidrosis. Excessive sweating due to high environmental temperature, excessive clothing and bedding, or intense physical activity is a necessary process for the body to regulate its temperature, known as physiological hyperhidrosis. If none of these factors are present and excessive sweating occurs while the body is at rest, it is considered pathological hyperhidrosis.
