Question

What kind of diseases can be treated by pediatric surgery? What symptoms are considered to be pediatric internal medicine cases? Can you tell me what causes excessive sweating in babies?

Answer

Excessive sweating is known as hyperhidrosis. During childhood, due to the high metabolism, large skin water content, abundant microvascular distribution, and the active and playful nature of children, sweating is generally more than in adults. Excessive sweating due to high environmental temperature, excessive clothing and bedding, or intense physical activity is a necessary process for the body to regulate its temperature, known as physiological hyperhidrosis. If none of these factors are present and excessive sweating occurs while the body is at rest, it is considered pathological hyperhidrosis.
