Question
After my child has a cold, their eyes are sensitive and swollen. I don’t know what to do?
Answer
It is advisable to see an ophthalmologist as soon as possible, as this seems to be an inflammatory condition. I suggest alternating the use of Acyclovir eye drops and Ofloxacin eye drops every 2 hours. Make sure to sterilize your washcloths by boiling them 2-3 times a day and use them separately to prevent repeated infections. Do not touch your eyes frequently with your hands, and do not wipe your eyes with toilet paper.
