Question

What medication or diet can be used to alleviate the symptoms of syphilis?

Answer

Syphilis is caused by a spirochete, a small and slender spiral-shaped microorganism that is typically not visible under ordinary stains and requires observation under darkfield microscopy. Its reproductive cycle is relatively long, averaging about 30 to 33 hours. Primary syphilis usually appears as hard chancre about 2 to 4 weeks after infection, most often occurring on the genitalia, such as the coronal sulcus, penis, prepuce, etc., in males. Secondary syphilis, due to the spread of the spirochete from the lymph nodes into the bloodstream, leads to systemic symptoms. About 7 to 10 weeks after infection, symptoms such as low fever, headache, muscle pain, and joint pain may occur.
