Question
My child is three and a half months old and is very sensitive to sounds, easily startled. The family has to be very careful when sneezing. I’m asking if there are any methods to improve this or any good medications. I’ve heard of a medicine called ‘Infant Calm,’ but I don’t know if it’s still available now.
Answer
When a child is scared and starts crying, parents can try holding the child, gently rubbing their back and forehead, and providing verbal comfort to make the child feel safe and comfortable. If the scare is due to environmental factors, it can be helpful to move to a quieter environment and use candies, toys, and other items to distract the child. Additionally, a child’s fear is related to their innate psychological tolerance, external stimuli, and other factors, and emotions can be relieved through appropriate measures.
