Question
Always complaining of stomach pain, is a second-degree swollen tonsil serious? What precautions should be taken?
Answer
Tonsillitis is an acute upper respiratory tract infection, a type of non-specific acute inflammation of the palatine tonsils, often accompanied by varying degrees of acute inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa and tonsillar ring. It is most common in adolescents aged 10 to 30 and often recurs acutely on the basis of chronic tonsillitis. Antibiotic intravenous administration may be considered for treatment.
