Question

The child has been vomiting for the past two days; could this be related to formula feeding?

Answer

Some babies are born with symptoms of vomiting, and by the second month, they may still frequently vomit. Some may vomit shortly after feeding, while others might vomit about 20 minutes after eating. This is because the human stomach has two outlets, the upper outlet called the cardia, and the lower outlet called the pylorus. The muscle of the cardia is more relaxed, while the muscle of the pylorus is prone to spasms. The vomited milk appears curd-like, as it forms milk clots under the action of stomach acid.
