Question
My child has been crying and not eating much recently. At what age can babies see things?
Answer
Babies are born with a response to light. Their field of vision is only about 45 degrees, and their eyesight is only about 1/30 of an adult’s. They can only track objects or people in the horizontal direction and those within 18 to 38 centimeters in front of them. Since infants grow rapidly, they are prone to calcium deficiency. Generally, you can give them some cod liver oil or Betacal, as well as oral calcium gluconate. It’s also recommended to expose them to sunlight appropriately to promote calcium absorption. Additionally, you can feed them some egg yolk paste to increase the calcium content in their diet. Calcium supplementation is a process that takes a longer time.
