Question

When do newborns develop antibodies?

Answer

Generally speaking, after the baby receives the third dose of the hepatitis B vaccine, it takes about 20 days to perform the hepatitis B two pairs and half test. However, due to individual differences in constitution, the time it takes to produce antibodies can vary. According to research, only 18% of babies will develop antibodies after the first dose of the vaccine; one month later, this proportion can increase to 41%. After receiving the second dose, 80-90% of babies can produce antibodies; and after receiving the third dose, the proportion of babies with positive antibody responses can reach 96%, and they can maintain this for several years.
