Question

What should you do when your baby refuses to breastfeed?

Answer

Formula-fed babies may go through a phase of aversion to milk at this stage, where they start to develop a dislike for certain types of milk, such as cow’s milk (formula) or breast milk. It’s important not to force the baby to feed at this time. The more you push, the more resistant the baby may become. You can start by thinning out the formula or lowering the water temperature when preparing it. If these methods don’t work, you can try changing the nipple or switching to a different brand of formula. If all else fails, try putting the nipple into the baby’s mouth when they are almost asleep or in a half-asleep state; they might start to eat then.
