Question

The newborn loves to take naps, but I’ve tried all methods and even calcium supplements haven’t helped. The baby wants to be held and played with, and won’t sleep on the bed during the day. I’m not sure what the reason is.

Answer

It’s normal for newborns to have sleep abnormalities because they are not yet accustomed to the new environment. You can use a blanket to wrap the baby, imitating the womb environment, to make the baby feel comfortable. The mother can also gently pat the baby to help them fall asleep.
