Pediatric dwarfism, also known as short stature, is a condition where a child’s height is 30% shorter than that of a normal child. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: skeletal system diseases, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital enzyme metabolic defects, endocrine disorders, kidney diseases, familial short stature, primary dwarfism, and long-term use of adrenal cortical hormones.
