Question
What is hip dysplasia?
Answer
Hip dysplasia is primarily caused by a combination of genetic factors and external mechanical factors, and is more common in female infants. It often occurs with breech delivery and insufficient amniotic fluid. The incidence rate of typical hip dislocation is about one in every one thousand to one thousand five hundred. If semi-dislocation and developmental abnormalities are included, the estimated incidence rate is about one in every five thousand.
